What is it?
Designs vary but it is basically an encircling band which wraps around the upper forearm and is secured by a velcro strap. The band has shaped pads which can be either fixed or movable.

What does it do?
When correctly positioned and the velcro strap fastened to the correct tension, the band applies a compressive force over the area where the muscles and tendons blend and reduces the stress on the tendon at its attachment to the bone just below the elbow. This reduces the associated symptoms.
