What is a Functional Foot Orthotic (FFO)?
A shell made from 3D printed nylon or EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate), which cups the heel and mid-foot areas. The orthotic extends from the back of the heel to just behind the ball of the foot.
What does it do?
It provides forces to the foot to maintain it in a good position when walking. The exact properties of the device can be adjusted depending on the firmness of the material and the additions to the shell.
