What is it?
Long-term over use, multiple untreated injuries resulting in chronic (happening over a long period of time) tissue injury, poor blood supply and unhealthy tendon
Chronic pain, swelling and inflammation of the Achilles tendon, often occurs before an Achilles tendon rupture.
• Night splinting to stretch the tendon
• Heel lift to reduce the pressure from the tendon by reducing the stretch or pull on it
Often complimented by Physio – deep massage and ultrasound
