Crispin

What is it?

A thermoplastic shell which extends from just above the ankle bones and extends underneath the foot. It may extend to the ball of the foot or to the end of the foot depending on individual requirements. The shell covers the ankle bones but is cut away at the posterior (back) portion of the ankle and over the instep. The strapping requirements will depend on the condition being treated. Padding is included to protect the bony areas.

What does it do?

Provides controlling forces to stabilise the foot position. It’s higher trimline helps to reduce pressure on the foot which can sometimes be experienced with lower trimmed devices.
