What is it?

A thermoplastic shell sandwiched between 2 layers of silicone. It may have cut outs or “windows” to reduce pressure over bony areas.

What does it do?

Provides controlling forces to maintain the foot in a neutral position when walking. The use of silicone reduces problems associated with rubbing which can occur with slim bony foot types.
