What is it?
Material, usually microcellular rubber, added to a suitable item of footwear. It may be included within the body of the shoes own sole and heel or stuck onto the bottom depending on the construction of the shoe.
What does it do?
It is used to compensate for a shortening of one leg relative to the other. This allows the hips to be level and reduces stress in the lower back and legs.
What does it cost?
£25.00 – £45.00
