Crispin

What is it?

A semi-rigid strut which positions to the inner side of the big toe and extends from the end of the toe to approximately the mid region of the foot. It has a simple lap joint positioned in line with the joint at the base of the big toe. The strut is secured to the foot at the end of the big toe and the instep by velcro straps.

What does it do?

By virtue of the strut and strap arrangement, it applies forces around the area of the base of the big toe to straighten its alignment (position) and reduce the valgus (outward pointing) angle.
