In orthotics, experience is everything. And with years of clinical and technical expertise at their fingertips, the clinical and technical teams at Crispin Orthotics are leaders in their fields. Take a closer look at how our knowledge, innovation and quality patient care makes a difference to specialist orthotics.

Paediatric Orthotics

Orthotics for children is a specialist area as it requires an understanding of the body in its growth stage. Using our knowledge of biomechanics, we design and develop bespoke orthoses that adjust biomechanical forces to encourage normal development.

Common Conditions treated include:

Cerebral Palsy
Spina Bifida
‘Flat Foot’
CTEV (Club Foot)

Spinal Orthotics

The spine is a complex part of the body to treat due to the number of vertebrae and their proximity to the spinal cord. This is why orthotics is so important in managing spinal conditions. Using non-invasive orthoses means there’s no risk of paralysis or death from a damaged spinal cord.

Common conditions treated include:

Scoliosis
Fractures
Spinal cord injuries

Life-long Conditions

The use of Orthotics in people with chronic conditions is extremely important.  Our aim is to minimise the impact of these conditions utilising our skills in the most innovative of Orthotic solutions.

Common conditions treated include:

Diabetes
Rheumatoid Arthritis
CVA (Stroke)
Multiple Sclerosis

Musculoskeletal Conditions

The musculoskeletal system provides form, stability and movement to the body. It consists of bones, joints, muscle, cartilage, tendons and other connective tissue. Orthotics offers tailored treatment to specific problems such as realigning the foot biomechanics and reducing lumbar spine lordosis.

Common conditions treated include:

Plantar fasciitis
Achilles tendonitis
Shin splints
Over pronation
Leg length discrepancy
