What is it?

CMT, sometimes also known as Hereditory Motor and Sensory Neuropathy, is a group of inherited conditions which cause damage to the peripheral nerves (those located outside of the brain and spinal cord).

Symptoms

Progressive loss of sensation and activation of the muscles, normally affecting the feet and hands, but can by systemic (affecting the whole body). Symptoms include a high arched foot with clawed toes, prominent metatarsal heads, very narrow ankles and foot drop.

Treatment

Total Contact Insoles to improve the foot posture, reduce areas of high pressure on the feet.

Footwear to accommodate foot deformities

Ankle Foot Orthosis to control the foot drop.
